Amazon Easy Ship Pilot: What UK Sellers Need to Know

Courier chaos is boring. Amazon's Easy Ship Pilot isn't.

If you're a UK seller tired of juggling carrier bookings, chasing tracking numbers, and fielding "where's my parcel?" messages at 11pm, this is worth five minutes of your time.

What Is the Amazon Easy Ship Pilot?

A trial programme for merchant-fulfilled orders on Amazon.co.uk. Invitation-only for now. The idea is straightforward: Amazon's carriers collect from your premises and deliver to your customer. You sell. They ship.

Why It's Worth Your Attention

  • Pick-up from your door. No more last-minute courier scrambles.

  • Faster, more reliable delivery. Customers get their orders quickly and know exactly when.

  • Account health benefits. Better delivery performance, fewer metric headaches.

  • Automatic tracking. Updates itself. You stop chasing.

  • Simple fees. One fee per order, based on weight and size. No surprises.

  • Amazon handles after-sales. Customer service for Easy Ship orders is managed by Amazon. Your inbox will thank you.

Who Can Take Part?

Your products need to fit within these limits:

  • Maximum weight: 15kg

  • Longest side: 120cm

  • Total dimensions: 220cm or less

  • No hazardous goods

How Does It Work?

Your inventory stays on self-ship by default once you're registered. You choose which SKUs to enrol via your shipping settings. Handling time for Easy Ship orders is set to zero days, supporting one or two-day delivery. You can adjust that in Seller Central if you need more flexibility.

Pick-ups happen in set windows with cut-off times, so planning matters. Fees are only charged when the order ships.

Quick Answers

Multiple pick-up addresses?

One address per store only.

What if a product isn't eligible?

You'll receive a Self-Ship order and handle it as normal.

How do I check my registration status?

Seller Central > Settings > Shipping Settings.

Register Your Interest via Helm WMS

Voila's sister brand, Helm WMS, is working directly with Amazon to make registration less cryptic. Fill out the interest form via Helm WMS, and their team will review your submission and pass the relevant information to Amazon. Not every application will be accepted. This is a pilot. But if you're selected, you'll be notified before the programme opens further.

Worth It?

Not a fix for every seller. But if couriers are a constant headache and your inbox is full of tracking queries, Easy Ship deserves a look. Check the eligibility criteria, plan around the pick-up windows, and watch for updates on wider access.

Ready to register? Head over to Helm WMS and they'll take it from there.

For UK-based brands at early-to-mid stages of growth, Shiptheory often hits the mark. But as businesses scale, adding international markets, requiring deeper analytics, needing post-purchase customer experience tools, or wanting a true API-first platform for custom carrier logic, its limitations become more apparent.

For many UK SMEs, Shipmate does the job well. But as brands grow, their requirements evolve: more carriers, international reach, post-purchase customer experience tools, and deeper analytics all become priorities that Shipmate is not designed to serve.
